Jiangsu Zhongdan Group, founded in 1979, is located in the southwest region of Taizhou city and faces Changzhou across the Yangtze River. It covers an area of 560 thousand square meters. In 1995 it established provincial enterprise group. Now, it has 14 membership enterprises, among which are 4 Sino-foreign enterprises, 1 technique center of Ph.D and 1 import and export company. As national big-scale enterprise, the group owns more than 2400 employees and total capital is more than RMB 0.6 billion yuan. 
       
       
       
       The main products of the group are "zhongdan" brand of dyestuff series, the Pharmaceutical and Pesticide intermediates series, Antioxidant agents, additive series, and declinable plastics series of products. The annual indigo output is 21 thousand tons and annual output of amino- phenylate is more than 10 thousand tons which are the biggest all around the world. And the annual ethoxyquin liquid output is 4 thousand tons, which is the biggest in domestic. About 70% of the products are sold to the overseas market and the market share of indigo and amino- phenylate in the world market is 40% and 30% respectively. The market share of ethoxyquin in domestic market is more than 55%. 
       
       
       
       In 1998, the group successfully passed the ISO9002 quality system certification and in 2001, It passed the new version of ISO90001 quality system. 
       
       
       
       Sticking on the principle of "develop the factory by technology", the group adopts international advanced standard, new technology and new equipment on the main products so as to ahead of other producers on the technical parameters. The group always puts stress on the environmental protection. In 1999, it passed acceptance check on discharge of water pollution source in Yangtze River drainage area.        The production value of the group of the year of 2002 are RMB 876 million yuan, the sales volume are RMB 848 million yuan, among which the export value are 401 million yuan (including USD33.50 million of self-export value), the pre-tax profits are RMB 126 million yuan.
