Mittal Alloys and Pigments
Profile: Mittal Alloys and Pigments is engaged in manufacturing refined lead, lead selenium alloys, lead calcium alloys, lead antimony alloys and lead oxides like lead-sub oxide, red-lead & litharge. Our alloying plant produces all kinds of lead alloys, such as antimonial, calcium and selenium. We have alloying kettles of various capacities accompanied by automatic diesel burners. Emissions control is achieved by a flexible kettle hood venting into a venturi scrubber attached to an induced draft fan along with a chimney/stack arrangement. Lead sub-oxide is a mixture of 60 to 80 percent lead monoxide and 20 to 40 percent of finely divided metallic lead powder. It is a product in the field of secondary cells. Lead sub-oxide is used in preparation of plates for storage cells. The oxide paste is prepared by mixing sub-oxide with water and then with sulphuric acid. The particle size of the oxide determines the life and capacity of the battery. Red lead jointing is suitable for steam and water pipe jointing.
