It is soluble in ether, petroleum ether, vegetable oil and fatty acids. Lecithin can serve as an emulsifier, fat replacer, mixing/blending aid, release agent, separation agent, viscosity modifier and as a wetting agent. Solvent extracted soyabean de-oiled cake (meal) provides a rich source of protein and may be extensively used as a protein supplement in livestock rations. It is used as livestock feed. It is free from rancidity, adulterants, insect or visible fungus infestation and from musty odor.
