Profile: Ugur Cellulose Chemicals is the producer and exporter of technical and purified grade carboxymethyl cellulose. Sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) can be produced in many types for different applications. CMC is produced by reacting alkali cellulose with monochloroacetic acid or monochloro acetate under well controlled conditions. sodium chloride and sodium gylicolate are the side reactions occurring in CMC reactions. Technical quality CMC contains these impurities and the purified CMC is obtained by extracting these impurities by a solvent washing process. After washing the CMC is dried and milled and screened according to he desired particle size.
