Nanjing Jinyan Strontium Industry Co., Ltd. was founded as Jiangsu Lishui Chemical Factory in 1971. Located in Lishui County at the source of Qinhuai River of Nanjing city, we enjoy good location and convenient traffic: We take only 30 minutes and 20 minutes by car to Nanjing city and Nanjing Lukou International Airport, and 5 minutes by ride to the entrances of Ninghang expressway and Ninghu expressway (which pass through our County).

Covering an area of 420,000m2, we now have 300 employees, 15 of them are senior engineers, 65 are technicians and 105 have college certificates. As the oldest production base in China for strontium salt, we were appointed as supporting enterprise by Electronic industry ministry for the first color display tube production of China. We played a main role in drafting our national standard [GB10660-89] and industrial standard [HG/T2969-1999]. The company owns a celestine mine, which guaranties 2.1 million tons of reserves; as the only company in China owning celestine mine, we have built a production line from mining celestine to producing strontium salt, and the annual production capacity of chemical strontium salt products can reach 30,000 ton. The strontium carbonate of brand "Red Flame" is awarded with title of important product and product of trusty quality by the Nanjing Municipal Government and titles of quality product in municipal, provincial and ministerial level. The product is in good graces of domestic customers.

The strontium carbonate is an important material for producing kinescope of color television, computer displayer, industrial monitor and electronic elements. It is widely used in chemical industry, light industry, metallurgical industry, pottery and porcelain, fireworks, magnetic materials and etc. The Jinyan Company pushes forward continuously technical innovation and production development in the way that it regards market as guideline, strives for quality for survival, follows the operation concept of taking science and technology as base of development and pays great attention to customer's concern. It has formed 15 series of the main product of brand "Red Flame" and the annual production capacity of sulfur and strontium salts such as strontium nitrate, strontium sulfate, strontium chloride and high pure strontium carbonate can reach 10,000 tons. The diversification of product structure is ranked on top of national similar enterprises. We establish close industry-research-university cooperative relationships with universities and institutes, thus we have the good ability to develop and promote new technique and products. In the meantime, we adopt the high & nwew technologies and have achieved successfully "one control and double conformity with standard". It is thus awarded the title of advanced enterprise for environmental protection in conformity with standard by the Nanjing Municipal Government. Through introducing ISO14000 environmental management system, we are working hard for getting healthy and sustained development.

The company advocates marketing concept of customer first and honest as essence and strengthens management to offer products and service of top quality. It was the first company among the national similar enterprises, which applied the ISO9000 international quality management standard series. In February 2000, the company was certified with ISO9002 quality system by UK Mody International Certification Company and in August 2002 with ISO9001:2000 quality system in transferred version. The strontium carbonate of brand "Red Flame" is well-sold to various domestic manufacturers of color television with glass casing and industries of fireworks and magnetic materials as well as exported to more than 20 countries and regions, such as Japan, South Korea, the United States of America and west Europe. The company has been awarded as enterprise of "highlighting contract and observing credit" for years running by the Nanjing Municipal Government.
