Profile: Firestone Synthetic Rubber & Co. is a manufacturer of polymers. Our unique anionic polymerization technology allows production of high molecular weight polybutadiene and a wide range of block, random & vinyl modified styrene-butadiene copolymers. Our duradene is used extensively in tire tread compounds where inherent hysteresis and abrasion resistance benefits contribute to improve tire performance. Our research & development laboratories are based on rubber, plastics, adhesives and asphalt cements. We are an ISO 9001:2000/14001 certified company.
