It has 5-8 times the thickening power of starch. These gums are used in paper coating, pharmaceuticals, and as binder in tablet mixtures. Our DL Malic acid is white, odorless, free flowing granular organic acid. The malic acid is also known as apple acid, and it occurs naturally in all fruits and vegetables. It is used as an antiseptic and acidulant.
