Profile: Ajinomoto Co., Inc. is a manufacturer of amino-acid based specialty chemicals and functional powders for the cosmetics and toiletries industries. Our product line includes anionic surfactants, humectants, emollients, functional powders and gelling agents. Our AMISOFT® anionic surfactants is a weakly acidic surfactant. The AMISOFT® is derived from L-glutamic acid (an amino acid), and natural fatty acids. It is extremely hypoallergenic and well suited as a mild cleansing agent. The pH level of the agents is similar to that of the skin, so they are very mild to the skin. Our Prodew® humectant is an effective moisturizer formulated with NMF (Natural Moisturizing Factor) components. The moisturizer has moisture absorption and retention capabilities. When sodium PCA and l-proline are mixed with the components of Prodew® they show a synergistic moisturizing effect.
